We buy colored plastic leg bands in quantity from A.C. Hughes in England which allows us to sell them in small quantities of 10 bands at reasonable prices.

There are two different types of bands depending on the sizes. Under 5mm the bands are of the split type requiring a special tool to attach to the leg of a bird; 5mm and larger are wrap-around which can be applied manually. Some banders heat seal bands after application using a heated screw driver or super-glue to assure a secure joint.
